WWE Monday Night Raw

So to kick off Raw we had a little bit of a promo from Jerry Lawler who then introduced Bret Hart down to the ring. R-Truth finally came down to the ring and then began to bring out his crazy side yet again (which i now like) and he pretends to play Bret Hart for a second, that moment was funny, placing some of Bret Hart's shades on the head of a little child and then claiming that he should now be number one contender because that is what Bret used to do. John Cena then begins to interrupt just a R-Truth was going to head to the back, he calls Truth back down to the ring and says a little bit about him before mocking him and talking to Bret for a minute. He then goes back on the little rant of how Truth has now gone crazy talking about Jimmy before saying Truth's former catchphrase of whats up which got Truth pissed. The Raw anonymous general manager (which is still dragging on) grants R-Truth a chance to become number one contender, only if he shines in the main event where CM Punk teams with R-Truth to take on Rey Mysterio and John Cena. So does this mean CM Punk and Rey Mysterio will feud again? Something i don't want to see, again. But i forgot Bret Hart is the special guest referee in the main event.

A nice little segment right now where Kane and Big Show are talking about the Nexus running around like a pack of wolves. Big Show sits on Alberto Del Rio's car and Ricardo Rodriguez runs up to him talking in Spanish about how Show is sitting on Del Rio's car (which even though i didn't catch a word, it was quite obvious he was on about that). Big Show then pushes him down to the floor before Del Rio comes into view and begins talking in Spanish himself, Kane and Big Show begin to leave and Del Rio just forces Rodriguez off the floor.

First match of the night is a WWE Tag Team Title match. So the team who beat Kane and Big Show on the Raw before Over The Limit in Otunga and McGillicutty are facing Kane and Big Show for the titles as Punk is on commentary and Mason Ryan is right next to him. One thing i learnt when i was training was first match of the night should not feature a referee bump (i was the referee). WWE have played that when Mason Ryan interfered and Kane forced him out of the ring, little nature boy himself, Charles Robinson took a bump to the head and was knocked down for as long as CM Punk to kick the head of The Big Show and for Otunga & McGillicutty to get a double DDT on the big guy, thus seeing yet again the two smaller guys in the Nexus winning the Tag Team Championships. Punk and Ryan may as well have won last night if the titles were going to the Nexus.

Big Show cuts an angry promo to Scott Stanford about being pissed off with what just happened. Del Rio comes in and slaps The Big Show and runs off, the camera begins to play up weirdly before we see Ricardo Rodriguez has ran over The Big Show with Kane giving chase to Del Rio as well. If they want to do a running over at least do it Stone Cold and Rikishi style. So after the long awaited break we were back to Big Show and Kane where The Big Show is forcing himself to stand on the injured leg.

Next match which is Jack Swagger Vs Evan Bourne. Not really a squash match but not the longest as Evan Bourne lost to Jack Swagger. Swagger seemingly will either be going for United States title fame or be getting a push towards the big one in the future. Not really any character there other than his All American American background. Ankle lock fail came back around as Evan was then hit with the gutwrench powerbomb to end the match. One good thing to come out of Evan Bourne in that match was the kick to Swagger's head after the match.

Not a big fan of the divas myself... well most of them but their segment backstage was ok as Michael Cole was walking we see him put out the hand for Eve to shake and she raises her boot for him to kiss. When he does come out we end the "Can i have your attention please" cathphrase and even when Cole says the spotlight shouldn't be on him the fans boo him. So after the whole appology we put the Cole/Lawler situation behind us.

Kind of an expected promo from The Miz blaming Alex Riley for him losing the match against Cena and Morrison at Extreme Rules, the match against Cena where he bought the title into the ring and finally at Over The Limit where he left his mobile phone (which how did the referee know it was his?). For once we can see there was a background on the laptop at ringside for the Raw GM other than what normally seems a pre-loaded message. Cole isn't the voice of the Raw GM now then? But The Miz has now been screwed out of a future title shot which was expected. The Miz finally fired Alex Riley from his contract with him like what was epxpected forcing Alex Riley to beat up The Miz, does this mean he will finally begin wrestling on Smackdown where he is a superstar? The good thing to come out of this for him, a chant.

Bring on the Divas. 8 diva tag match with the Bellas, Maryse and Melina teaming together against Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim, Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres. Just as the match got started out came Kharma who sadly wasn't at hte pay per view. But with 8 divas in the ring all of them believe they can take her on. WWE had Kharma come into the middle of the ring and have a breakdown which was a bit of a mindfuck.

Big hype for the fact we got Drew McIntyre on Raw again and against the current WWE United States Champion, Kofi Kingston. I don't know if Drew was on the show because Bret Hart was in town, the guy who recently spoke up for him. Nice finish to the match even if Kingston did beat McIntyre.

Backstage segment where The Nexus are happy about winning the titles adnd then we got Punk just say that the group should watch what he is going to do, just a basic filler promo to kill time.

Del Rio is cutting a promo backstage in which we can expect a feud with Alberto Del Rio and Big Show. Ricardo Rodriguez got the blame for the backstage accident. So can we see Rodriguez wrestling in the future?

Such an awesome tribute for Randy Savage, even while i'm in the sixth form while writing this it bought a tear to my eye. Macho Man was a legend and as Lawler said he will always be a Hall of Famer. We can expect to see him inducted next year.

Main event time and Bret Hart is first down to the ring to be the special guest referee. Very awesome tribute for Randy Savage is "Macho Man" CM Punk on Raw. To kick it off R-Truth got beat up and thrown out of the ring and when we came back CM Punk was beating up Cena in the corner. I'm sorry but when Punk picked up Cena and was going for the GTS it was very noticable that he told him what was happening. Why did Bret Hart get involved during that awesome build up for the finish? Bit annoyed with that for a finish.

Pretty decent matches on Raw for once even if we did get that waste of a match with the divas. Cena's celebration was better than the way Randy Orton celebrated on Smackdown.

Tomorrow, if i can be bothered to watch NXT i will review it, if not then give me ideas via my facebook of what to talk about.
