Podcast?

Recently came into my head that due to the fact i attend quite a few shows in the local area would it be better to do this in the style of a podcast? Or would you guys still like it written up? Maybe even both?

But then if i did do a write up would you listen to a podcast/interview with a wrestler who was at the show?

Throw your suggestions in guys.

Thanks,
Karl Robinson

FWA @ Memorabilia - N.E.C.

Welcome readers,

I'm Karl Robinson, been a wrestling fan from such a young age and it has never left me since, i've trained before but couldn't handle it (wouldn't mind trying one more time). This was my first time at FWA and if anything even at the NEC as well so two new things in one day. So here we go:

Adrenaline Division Match: Xander Cooper Vs Zack "Diamond" Gibson

The first match at Memorabilia was Xander Cooper against Zack Gibson. Now these two guys are completely unknown to me and for a first time of seeing them, they impressed me. Now Xander came out to the ring and there were a few claps for him and the guy was all cocky claiming the fans love him. Next thing you know when Zack Gibson comes out him he gets a better ovation from the crowd, especially for the fact he tried to get them on his side.

Into the match it was quite a good paced match for the opener, with a moment of confusion to me when Xander shook the hand of Zack. There were some good aerial moves hit by Zack Gibson and when both of them having many near falls. But it is when The second time the hand was extended, this time from Zack Gibson that you knew, Xander was a heel due to the fact of kicking away Zack's hand. Overall a pretty decent match to open the show with.

Match Rating: 8/10

Leroy Kincaide calls out David Deville and Match Two: Leroy Kincaide Vs Colossus

With a brief mention of the fact that Leroy stars in the television show on BBC called "Hot Like Us", out came Leroy Kincaide. He was out there to issue a challenge to David Deville for the FWA Heavyweight Championship. A message appeared on the screens which was from David Deville, he mentioned that he isn't in Birmingham and that Leroy will be facing Colossus in a match.

Now the match itself was pretty good for the fact we had a larger than life character in, Colossus taking on the more muscular, Leroy Kincaide. Now it was a challenge that Leroy wasn't stepping down from. In this match it was quite clear, who was a face and who was a heel. Leroy had the fans on his side throughout the match and most fans clearly wanted to see Colossus lose. That did eventually happen after a spear.

However after the match, Colossus wasn't finished and had picked up a steel chair ready to attack Leroy Kincaide. Just as he was waiting for Leroy to stand up, Johnny Phere came from backstage. Johnny had then taken the chair from Colossus and attacked him with it. After that he headed over to Leroy and looked like he was going to attack him as well, however Johnny Phere threw the chair down and spat in the face of Leroy Kincaide. Moments after Colussus was standing again and Leroy hit a final spear to end the second part of the show.

Match Rating: 6/10

Match Three: FWA Flyweight Championship Match - "The Wonderkid" Jonny Storm Vs "The Rockstar" Spud

Now what a main event this was. FWA pulled out a shocker; not in the fact it was two of the premier flyweights in the country battling it out for the, FWA Flyweight Championship, but for something else. Now it started with Jonny Storm coming out and mentioning how he is going to kick, Spud's ass. Spud comes out and retaliates by saying he knows who the real Jonny Storm is, and how it is the one who injured him.

The match began and some great moves came into play already. However during the match, Storm got a bit out of hand with the fact Spud stayed outside the ring and kept attacking the shoulder he injured earlier in the match. Storm continued and continued to get frustrated with the fact that the referee was only giving him two counts before hitting Spud with a low blow. As soon as that happened the fans instantly turned on, "The Wonderkid" Jonny Storm and began cheering for Spud (something i never thought i'd see).

But when it all came down to it, Spud's injury in the match cost him as Jonny Storm punished Spud with a crossface which ended the match. However Jonny Storm wasn't finished and didn't break the hold. Great turn for both of the guys in what was a great show overall.

Match Rating: 9/10

Should TNA Really Be Competition?

Hello wrestling fans,

Now we all know that TNA or the brand now known as IMPACT WRESTLING is trying to become competition against the WWE (which took the Wrestling out of their name); but back to TNA, currently they are trying to become rivals with the WWE and steal their audiences like the previous rival, World Championship Wrestling.

So TNA before had a team of guys such as Jim Cornette, Jeff Jarrett, Dixie Carter and more in charge of running day to day task and more importantly their television show. Come 2010 and we now have Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan working with TNA alongside all important "retired from wrestling figure" Ric Flair. TNA gained a few fans in the first run but then they decided to switch to Monday Nights and attempt the "Monday Night Wars" again. This however failed and TNA had to switch back to the Thursday night time slot in the USA.

TNA in 2011 have had a few good ideas such as bringing in former X-Division stars and future X-Division stars to compete for a contract on the roster, sadly the contract was won by a former star, however it was won by, Austin Aries. Another member of this contract match has also been signed up.

A downfall of TNA is the group, Immortal which just attempted to be a copy of the famous group, NWO. Now NWO was a great faction in its first run, however they decided to keep adding more and more people, which TNA kind of have repeated, giving us guys that we don't care much about, a few have done well in the role such as Gunner and Bully Ray, however the other guys such as Matt Hardy, Scott Steiner and Abyss aren't cared about much.

So what I believe is that TNA should stop attempting to go to war and be competition with the global company of the WWE and should try and be what they are supposed to be, an alternative for the WWE. As an alternative they can get the fans which the WWE aren't drawing in.

That's all folks,
Karl Robinson

Phoenix Pro Wrestling

A few times I have pointed out in my blog about Phoenix Pro Wrestling so I'm going to go into a bit of detail about the company. Now Phoenix Pro Wrestling is a company of which I design graphics for and have put together one music video for, but what makes Phoenix Pro Wrestling to me is the welcome you get as soon as you walk through the doors, you know it is going to be a good show. To go on I will talk briefly about the previous shows before bringing up the upcoming show, this Friday.

March 18th 2011

On March 18th 2011, the first time I witnessed Phoenix Pro Wrestling it was an amazing night. Things kicked off well with an Evolution League match; the Evolution League is a table of which upcoming wrestlers battle it out for points in 2011 to win the league (3 points a win, 1 point a draw, 0 points a loss). The winner then becomes the number one contender for the PPW Championship (BFG Series before the BFG series). So anyway, it kicked off with "Luscious" Lucas Black defeating Nate Colt to win 3 points.

The next match was then an Eastside/Westside Open Challenge Falls Count Anywhere Match, "Hellraiser" Brian Wright who was accompanied by his manager Zero Tolerance issued the open challenge that was then answered by, Joey Sanchez. Sanchez however was on the losing side of this match.

After this match we came back to the Evolution League in which Matt Pedin faced Jamie Feerick. Both guys only gained a point due to double count out, this was also down to Lucas Black locking both competitors outside the venue.

Just before the interval fans of the West Midlands witnessed their favourite, Tommy Gunn beat Lord Graham Thomas III following a 450 Splash. For me I've seen these guys plenty of times and they always have me gripped.

Back after the interval and it was back to the Evolution League, in which Justin Thorne and Davey Blaze again both gained one point due to time limit and interference from Lucas Black who then topped the League with three points.

Due to the timing of the event there was a Comic Relief Charity Battle Royal in which Tommy Gunn won. For winning this match Tommy was entered into the second triple threat PPW Championship qualifying match. Talking about the triple threats our final match and the Main Event was, El Ligero Vs Lionheart Vs Paul Malen. The winner of this match would go on to face whoever won the second triple threat for the PPW Championship.

In an intense battle that saw El Ligero and Lionheart team up to take Paul Malen out of the equation first, El Ligero was named the first number one contender for the PPW Championship.

April 17th 2011

The first match we received when Phoenix Pro Wrestling returned for their second show was a Combat Zone Street Fight between "Adrenaline" Danny Chase against the "Unstoppable" Andy Wild. However as nicknames go they aren't always true, when Danny Chase beat Andy Wild in the first match of the evening.

"Luscious" Lucas Black returned on the second show to face the "Hellraiser" Brian Wright in an Evolution League match, now both weren't favourite with the crowd in the first show but during the second show more people liked Brian Wright for going against Lucas Black. However Lucas Black remained top of the league after beating Brian Wright and gaining another three points.

The next match would be two of the Evolution League guys stepping up to face, The Myatt Legacy of Ryan Myatt and Keith Myatt. Keith is an old school British wrestler from the World of Sport days and was set on teaching the two young guys a lesson however, Matt Pedin and Davey Blaze stepped up to the challenge and beat The Myatt Legacy.

In a second tag match of the evening, Nate Colt and Scott Maverick tagged against and beat, "Team Scotland" Jamie Feerick and Steven Xavier.

The final match of the night was the second, PPW Championship match qualifier. Tommy Gunn had previously qualified on the last show but had tough competition in, "The Wonderkid" Jonny Storm and "The Heavyweight House Of Pain" Stixx. It proved just that as Jonny Storm was the victorious one in the match and went on to face, El Ligero for the PPW Championship at the next show.

13th May 2011 (Friday 13th Special)

In the first match of the night, Kid Fite squared up against, "Adrenaline" Danny Chase in a Casket match and proved victorious as he qualified to be in the final of the PPW King of the Deathmatch Tournament. The next match in the tournament and of the evening saw, Tommy Gunn yet again beat Lord Graham Thomas III but in a Kiss My Foot Challenge (changed from an I Quit match by LGT III). So the PPW KOTD 2011 Final would see Tommy Gunn face Kid Fite.

Mad Man Manson always a fan favourite then arrived to face, "The Greek God" Aaron Adonis and what a match it was, laughs all the way through due to Mad Man Manson who picked up the victory.

"Textbook" Dave Breaks then (pun intended") broke onto the PPW Scene to issue a "Textbook Challenge". The first ever challenge was answered by "Hellraiser" Brian Wright's manager, Zero Tolerance. In an amazing match, Dave Breaks pulled out the victory as was expected but Zero put up a good fight.

Speaking of Brian Wright he teamed with The Myatt Legacy before the interval to face Matt Pedin, Davey Blaze and their partner, Nate Colt. Yet again, The Myatt Legacy were put to shame by their opponents as Pedin, Blaze and Colt won the match.

After the interval Lucas Black returned again and was this time teaming with Justin Thorne to take on Steven Xavier and Scott Maverick in a tag team match. Lucas Black and Justin Thorne picked up the victory.

The PPW Championship match was next and such a classic match between El Ligero and Jonny Storm I could watch it again and again, El Ligero was the victor and was crowned the first ever, PPW Champion. After the match, Jonny Storm issued a rematch to El Ligero who accepted.

The final match of the night saw Kid Fite face Tommy Gunn in the King of the Deathmatch 2011 final. This match was a last man standing match and went all over the venue. Tommy Gunn however was the victor and was crowned, PPW King Of The Deathmatch 2011.

June 17th 2011

In the previous show, Paul Malen returned and wasn't alone as he bought, "Special Edition" Joseph Connors along with him to face Flash Morgan and "Perfect" Pete Dunne. Unlucky for Flash and Pete as they were the first to fall victim to "The Predators" on the night.

In an Evolution League match, Nate Colt gained 3 points as he defeated, "Hellraiser" Brian Wright. The third match of the night was a triple threat divas match between Bacardi, Pollyanna and the returning, Chrissy Valentine. This wasn't the best match to date that I've ever seen but pulling through an injury on the night, Bacardi toughed it out; however Chrissy Valentine was victorious after pinning, Pollyanna.

Having appeared on WWE Raw in three matches against Umaga on the same night, Andy Boy Simmonz came to PPW and was set to face Lord Graham Thomas III who has been on a losing streak in PPW. That streak continued as Andy Boy Simmonz was victorious in the match.

After the interval Lucas Black continued to pick up wins and top the Evolution League as he defeated Matt Pedin. One thing I haven't pointed out is the guys in the Evolution League are trainees from The House Of Pain in Nottingham and from Scotland.

Zero Tolerance came back to PPW to wrestle his second match and what a match it was as he picked up the victory against, Wild Boar from 4 Front Wrestling.

The final match of the night was for the PPW Championship as the champ, El Ligero was set to defend against Jonny Storm once again. In yet another amazing match sadly ended in a no contest as Paul Malen and Joseph Connors attacked both El Ligero and Jonny Storm. But their path of destruction didn't end there as the knocked out the referee and PPW Ring Announcer, Mark Adams. After the beat down and when Jonny was able to fight back he issued a challenge to Paul Malen for the next show to face him one on one. Paul Malen accepted the challenge.

PPW Presents: Return Of The King

PPW is returning to the West Bromwich Labour Club this coming Friday and what a show that is lined up so far. Hot off the press and recently signed is, CZW Star, Drew Gulak who will be facing Scott Maverick in a COMBAT ZONE STREET FIGHT. As already booked at the previous show, Jonny Storm is set to face Paul Malen in singles action. We also will see an EVOLUTION LEAGUE match as Davey Blaze takes on Scott Maverick. The TEXTBOOK CHALLENGE also returns as "Textbook" Dave Breaks issues an open challenge. But the main feature of the show is the returning, Tommy Gunn who is set to face Kid Fite as fans loved their previous encounter.

For more information regarding the show go to www.phoenixprowrestling.co.uk.

Capitol Punishment Thoughts

So kicking it off nice promo they aired to start with and nice set up with the whole White House look. Sadly the commentators are Booker T, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler and i'm sure this is one of the first time the Spanish Announce team have been at ringside for a recent Pay Per View. I'm guessing something is going to happen to their table as I don't know the last time I've seen them at a Pay Per View.

First match is United States Champion, Kofi Kingston Vs Dolph Ziggler for the title. This was a pretty strong opening to the show and quite a decent match. I'm glad Dolph Ziggler has now gained the title and hopefully that means a Kingston win at Money In The Bank maybe, sure as hell expect he will be in the Raw Money In The Bank Match. Vickie now has something to brag about when it comes to managing duties.

A limo arrives after the match and it is R-Truth who also has Cena's championship and has a funny catchphrase, "The Champ is in the house, for shizzle". Truth is also inviting a few people to the party he is having. We then get an interview with, The Miz. He claims as many people would that, Alex Riley is going to lose the match. A nice video package airs about how Riley was Miz's lackey if anything and how now turned on him.

Miz is first out and still has the "AWESOME" entrance set which is kind of awesome due to the fact it is Pay Per View exclusive. Alex Riley comes out to his awesome theme and gets a great reaction from the crowd again. Yet again another decent match and Riley does come out with the victory as everyone was hoping for, i'm expecting the feud to carry on until Miz beats Riley.

Sargent Slaughter is backstage with a horrible Obama look-a-like in what was also a poor backstage segment. Again anther promo video for another match and this time it is Big Show Vs Alberto Del Rio. What a match i'm expecting here.

Alberto Del Rio arrives in such a beautiful car and he is without Ricardo Rodriguez who got beat up by The Big Show. Before Del Rio could even make it into the ring, The Big Show beat him up around the outside of the ring. Mark Henry then turned up and attacked The Big Show. The Spanish announcers table got destroyed by a Worlds Strongest Slam to The Big Show. One thing that made me laugh is the commentators acting shocked that The Big Show was picked up by Mark Henry yet Cena has hit the Attitude Adjustment to  The Big Show in the past. The match itself was quite boring compared to the spontaneous attack from Mark Henry.

R-Truth backstage asks the photographer for the WWE to take promo shots of him with the title. Wade Barrett is next cutting a promo about how he isn't happy to be in the USA and that it needs a monarchy. He mocks the education system in America as well as the debt in America.

Ezekiel Jackson Vs Wade Barrett is the match and it is for the Intercontinental Championship. This match was pretty boring and you could tell that by the fact the most memorable part was when the fans were chanting for Zack Ryder to appear. Hopefully he does on Raw in some capacity. Big Zeke finally captures the Intercontinental Championship as expected.

Backstage Santino, Beth Phoenix and Kelly Kelly have a short segment with the fake-Obama. Santino gets taken ou by fake-Obama's security as they thought he was going to attack FAKE-Obama with "The Cobra" which Santino says is a devastating finishing maneuver. CM Punk has an interview next and states that Washington, D.C. is the birthplace for straight edge yet it is the home area for the corrupt politicians. He then goes on to say in he is going to beat Rey Mysterio and after he does he is going to do the most honest thing in the WWE.

Rey Mysterio comes out for the match first and then is followed by CM Punk obviously in entrance wise. In what so far has been probably the match of the night other than the Ziggler/Kingston match CM Punk came out victorious. This is a victory for all as CM Punk has finally won at a Pay Per View again.

Christian Vs Randy Orton is the Next match and what a match it was as expected. Orton picked up the victory again and hopefully the feud continues so Christian gets that chance of being champion again. It's what the, oh wait the fans don't want it as Christian is a heel. Still it's what a select amount of fans want. Or maybe give it to Sheamus.

We get an advertisement of Money In The Bank next and why is The Big Show doing the voice over for this and even more why was he doing the advert overall. We here Hornswoggle talk again... I think they need to stop this whole Hornswoggle can't talk because he is a leprechaun thing as this is the second time we have heard him speak. Straight after the advert we get Shane O'Mac's theme song, sadly he isn't coming out.

OK to tell the truth I've skipped the match between Evan Bourne and Jack Swagger due to the fact that match didn't deserve to be on pay per view. If it was good I'll go back and watch it but as a filler match it was just a big now. I would have been happier with a Tag Title filler match. Evan Bourne was victorious though. I also skipped the Booker T and Fake Obama segment.

Finally it's now time for the main event, WWE Championship match. John Cena Vs R-Truth. John Cena retained the title. This match was pretty decent. A disappointment that R-Truth didn't get the title but beggers can't be choosers. Anyway back too it R-Truth just before getting pinned after an Attitude Adjustment had a drink thrown into his face by a little Jimmy in the audience which Truth had stole the drink before hand.

Was a good pay per view in my opinion. Others have said it was poor, I wouldn't have paid for it myself but overall was a good pay per view.

Capitol Punishment Pre-Predictions

Well even though I still haven't seen Smackdown which is something I need to do soon before I get to watch the Pay Per View overall. Thoughts of the Pay Per View though can happen.

Likely starting off the show will be Big Show Vs Alberto Del Rio as I see it. Del Rio is going to pick up the victory as it helps build him as a heel where as loss to Big Show will kind of take away from that build he is deserving. Big Show losing however can take a lot of that big guy look away from him, but then saying that Cena beat him.

Next Barrett and Ezekiel Jackson for Intercontinental Championship is one thing I will see coming up. Big Zeke has to now win this title. The Corre has broke up fully and Wade Barrett doesn't have the help who has always helped him keep his championship.

Punk Vs Mysterio which should be a decent match even though i'm not happy they have gone this way again but I guess it has to happen due to the fact no one else is in a good enough feud to be on the card. Punk is surly going to lose this which I don't want to happen but I expect it will.

Kingston Vs Ziggler for the US Title and Ziggler should get the victory. Ziggler is a good worker and deserves the championship and it can then help Kingston get a push against someone else.

Miz Vs Riley and i'm not going to say anything big about this as it is a mixed emotion match. I want Alex Riley to get the victory and so does everyone else as it helps him build himself up as a future star, but then that will shit on the push The Miz had. Miz has had a decent build recently and having him lose against his former apprentice will kill the thunder he has had.

Orton Vs Christian will be a decent battle and we have seen it a lot recently. Orton is coming back from a concussion and is likely to retain but Christian could gain credibility by winning the title.

Finally R-Truth Vs Cena which is obviously going to be the main event. R-Truth in my opinion isn't going to win unless the WWE realize some facts. 1: Cena is working injured right now and they can't let him get injured due to the fact he is going to face Rock at WM 28. 2: R-Truth if he wins will be the first African-American WWE Champion. 3: R-Truth can gain good heat by becoming the champion and after all the fact is Sheamus won the championship before and we never expected that.

So people Capitol Punishment is tonight. I'm not going to be watching until tomorrow or later. These are just my thoughts and I hope they come true.

IMPACT Wrestling - 16/06/11

We kick off IMPACT Wrestling first with a little promo package from Slammiversary and then Anderson comes out to celebrate his victory over Sting and just brings out the fact he only needs himself in wrestling and doesn't need friends. Gunner then came out during the segment to a small chorus of cheers. Gunner came out asking for a chance at Anderson due to him already helping out, Anderson threw beer in the face Gunner but then Gunner put Anderson through a table.

After a lot of talking from Mike Tenay who first promoted the Bound For Glory Series (what is the point in the Xplosion Championship chase thing or will it have ended). A Knockouts Tag Title match. The fact Mexican America are walking backstage. The fact Angle will have comments to air later on in the night and then the fact Sting is in the building, we reach our first match.

Mexican America's, Hernandez will be facing Devon in the first match of the night. Quite a short match which saw Devon come out with the victory via DQ when Mexican America attacked him. The Pope, D'Angelo Dinero came for the save again which seemingly was putting an Xplosion storyline and match that has already happened on IMPACT Wrestling. Great work TNA.

Mr. Anderson goes into the office of Eric Bischoff and Bischoff tells Anderson he is happy that Anderson is asking for some help from Eric. He then books Anderson against Gunner for tonights IMPACT Wrestling. Kurt Angle is shown walking backstage with his children before coming out to cut a promo. Angle says he is glad the Jarrett situation is over and then explains why he put the Olympic Gold Medal on the line which is basically because he is going to try and get into the 2012 Olympics in London. Jarrett comes out and claims the feud isn't over stating that he wants one more match against Angle. Angle accepts on the condition that Jarrett will move to Mexico without his kids. So the final battle at the PPV was more of a first final battle.

So the Bound for Glory Series is announced where there is a certain amount of guys that will be competing for 3 months until the Pay Per View to become the winner of the Series and go on to face the World Champion at Bound for Glory. The matches can take place anywhere (as long as it is TNA related shows), the victorys can come in any type of match. There is a point system in place. The series kicks off on this episode of IMPACT Wrestling with RVD vs Samoa Joe.

Eric Young has a backstage segment offering Matt Morgan a TV title shot as he is a TV star. Morgan tells young he knows someone from TV who would jump at the opportunity of a title shot, Eric getting a nice comment in saying "Was Vince Russo in Happy Days". As we come back the is the introduction of the Destination X 12 man tournament which features stars of the future and past of the X-Division all fighting for a contract.

Kid Kash is the first competitor who was a former X-Division star, Jimmy Rave is next and what a returning star that is due to leaving in 2009. Double A, Austin Aries is the final of the former stars to come out tonight and what a star he is, this match just sounds amazing already. Aries gets the victory in an epic battle. This is putting the X-Division back on the map right here. Aries and Kash certainly should be signed back up. Get rid of Rob Terry and Murphy for the two spots on the roster.

Before the next match the Knockouts Tag Title match gets started, the champs are already in the ring and the men of Mexican America get sent to the back. Velvet Sky and Miss. Tessmachaer then come out to face the champions. The match was ok, Rosita picked up the victory. Velvet Sky got distracted by ODB and then got attacked after the match by Jacqueline Moore/ Miss Jackie and ODB.

Jarrett is backstage just signing the contract for the match/brawl between him and Angle. Hogan is now in the office where Bischoff was earlier. Sting walks in after Jarrett has left is told that on IMPACT Wrestling, Sting is getting his rematch against Anderson. Sting has a pop at Hogan asking him why he is like he is right now. Hopefully down the line Hogan will be turning back face as heel Hulk Hogan doesn't work good. Sting seems very "Joker" like right now with his gimmick as he asked Hogan if he wants to wear a mask and puts the facepaint on Hogan and has a weird laugh.

Eric Young defend his TV Championship backstage against, Jason Hervey. Hervey currently works with TNA and is the pioneer of giving it the current backstage segments slightly. Jason Hervey is also a business partner of Eric Bischoff in Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment. We also had a little backstage segment before that where Jackie and ODB are claiming that they are cleaning up the Knockouts Division.

The next match is RVD Vs Samoa Joe in the BFG Series match. This was quite a good match and again a good way to open up this competition of the Bound for Glory Series. Hope it keeps up and Joe returns to his former glory in TNA, instead of RVD getting that push.

Gunner Vs Mr. Anderson was the final match before the Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett brawl in my opinion. Gunner picked up the victory in a good match. There is two things that are polar oppsite in this match. We have the fact, Gunner this new fresh face is getting a push into the main event scene surly as he has now pinned Sting (when he was champion) and current champion, Mr. Anderson; but then there is the point of your new champion in TNA looks weak due to him losing to Gunner.

Next week Bully Ray is facing Scott Steiner in the BFG Series, we get comments from them which were recorded earlier on and then when Jarrett is walking out to the parking lot there is Bully Ray cheering him on and a heap of the roster just there with cars parked into a circle of sorts. There was one problem with this brawl, a few of the faces that were in the little crowd are guys that are being used in next weeks IMPACT Wrestling. So TNA stupidly shouldn't have had them in this segment. Angle kind of beats up Jarrett and then walks away.

Was a good show, better than I expected it to be from reading the spoilers before hand something I rarely do with TNA.

Friday 17 June 2011

WWE Superstars

The first match of Superstars is what we didn't get from Raw, Zack Ryder. Zack Ryder has a little promo time and mentions that his father and friend is there as well as his girlfriend, Ryder also asks everyone "who wants to be Broski of the Week". Zack Ryder's opponent is his former tag partner, Primo. This match was just great; having been a tag team already, Ryder and Primo know how to work with each other in the ring and you could say that they worked well. Ryder was victorious in both winning the match after a Rough Ryder and turning face in the process.

Sadly the next match on Superstars is Drew McInytre against Vladimir Kozlov. Before Kozlov gets to come out McIntyre also get a little promo time where he now announces himself as "The American Nightmare". This match was pretty much dominated by Kozlov, but then all matches don't have to be open battles. McIntyre gained the victory from the Future Shock DDT.

Yoshi Tatsu is up next against Chavo Guerrero. This was a good match and certainly for a build up into the main event. Yoshi Tatsu and Chavo Guerrero look like they have a spark and can work well together in the future. Tatsu got the victory via a roundhouse kick.

In the main event JTG comes out first and is Tyson Kidd's new manager. Tyson Kidd is going against Kane. This was a great main event for the show and as you would have expected Kane was a pretty dominant force in the match but Tyson did get some chances. Kane won the match via the Chokeslam which again was expected.

Decent show with some strong matches. Would love to know already who Tyson Kidd's new manager is.

ICW Monday Night BRAW - Episode 4

ICW Monday Night BRAW (i'm a bit late but stuff it) kicks off with a nice little video package of what happened last week when Noam Dar defended his Zero-G Championship. We also see a little promo from Christopher Rampage's manager issuing the statement that he didn't tap and during the promo the last week logo disappears; which made me think is it for this episode or from after the previous episode.

Johnny Moss comes out to start the show and the crowd broke out into a "Mossy" chant which proves he is a face and he is going against James Scott of The Gold Label for the ICW Championship. The Gold Label are also at ringside for this match but it was expected but James Scott sends them to the back, claiming he can beat Johnny Moss on his own. This match was a great way to begin my weekend of wrestling. Perfect all the way through for a crowd of 18+ and started off with an epic brawl, especially the use of the chairs. However The Gold Label came out later on in the match to help James Scott retain the championship.

Pretty decent 4 episodes of ICW Monday Night BRAW and I hope it continues to grow even bigger.

Tomorrow I will be both in 6th form and then at Phoenix Pro Wrestling, so if there is a lack of a blog i'm apologizing right now. However if there isn't a blog posted by me expect to see 1/2 on Saturday as I run down TNA IMPACT Wrestling and Friday Night Smackdown. I will attempt to get thoughts on Superstars A.S.A.P. and post it tomorrow if anything. But for now I leave you with this review of ICW Monday Night BRAW.

UKW Mayhem - Episode #12

I don't know how far UKW are overall into their TV shows on TVMyChannel (I believe I've got the name right). and on the TVMyChannel website the archive is at Program 10 where as the Youtube is to episode 12.

We kick off with a Fatal Four Way in which we see Caden Vs Jack Flash Vs Steve Omega Vs Robbie X. Jack Flash looks like a babyface but i'm guessing is booked as a heel where as Caden looks like a heel and is yet a face. Steve Omega just looks like he wants to be the new Jeff Hardy I guess without the situation and he came out with a young girl who has a title on her shoulder, I believe her name is Kandy Leigh and she is the Womens Champion even though she looks 12 (not to sound mean). UKW do have a nice set up though especially having the roaming camera (the camera on the crane). The match was on but seemed more like a tag match throughout and Caden picked up the victory by pinning Robbie X.

I seemed to have missed out a promo which I believe was before the first match but it was a build up for the main event. The next match is "Bad News" Brett Bell Vs Johnathon Sedgwick. Brett Bell is the son of the referee, Mike Bell. The match overall had a look of a brawl and ended via count out. It looks also like these guys have a history of battles behind them.

The main event was for the UKW Championship between Rob Cage (who is the UKW Champion) and Lionheart who i've witnessed at Phoenix Pro Wrestling. In this match you can see the nice set up of a commentator table attempting to make a WWE table which worked for them. The match was main event quality and I could imagine seeing it on an American produced Wrestling event.

Overall they put up a good show in production quality, wrestling wise need more names that are familiar to the wrestling community but a good show at that. I believe tomorrow I will review episode #13 which has recently been posted on youtube.

Go to http://www.youtube.com/user/UKWwrestlingTV for more UKW TV episodes.

All Star Raw

Live Raw review...

Allstar night

We kick off with the miz who calls out Stone Cold asking for an apology. Stone Cold then comes out and owns The Miz sadly calling him stupid though. Austin brings back Piper's Pit for Alex Riley and The Miz. Del Rio then interrupted Stone Cold which is one of the worse decisions other than messing with The Big Show. Austin then books the first match which is Del Rio vs Kane.

The first match being Del Rio Vs Kane kicked off when we got back. Like the TNA pay per view this was a great opening contest and worked well minus the fact it was ended by a disqualification. Shockingly The Big Show made an appearance and he just destroyed Ricardo Rodriguez with Kane attempting to stop him having to choke The Big Show to make him relax. After the match Stone Cold came out and booked a match between, The Big Show and Del Rio at Capitol Punishment.

Cody Rhodes has came out to team with Ted DiBiase and Wade Barrett against Sin Cara, Daniel Bryan and Ezekiel Jackson. The match again was a lot shorter than expected but was decent. Big Zeke just dominated as always and Sin Cara picked up the victory after a diving crossbody.

R-Truth comes out claims he will become the new champion. He gets shot at by Hornswoggle with the t-shirt bazooka and goes to attack him but leaves him alone as he is a good R-Truth but actually attacks him as you could have guessed. Stone Cold appears on the titantron and books a match between John Morrision and R-Truth tonight.

Santio is against Sheamus as we come back. I noticed during this match we can literally here a chant of We Want Ryder. The internet speaks loudly as its Ryder or Riot. Santino was destroyed with a Brouge Kick and then had the Texas Cloverleaf locked in to make Santino tap out.

After another advert break we get Randy Orton come out to speak to the crowd and does a Del Rio reminding us that his name is Randy Orton. He then goes on to say he can cause Christian some pain at Capitol Punishment but he will not do that due to the fact Christian is at Raw so he calls him out and has an unanswered response to begin with. Christian appears on the titantron claiming that Orton is always angry and having a deal in the WWE from when he was born. Orton retaliates by saying Edge carried Christian all his career.

One thing that made no sense was the anonymous Raw GM saying that he will strip Randy of the World Title if he doesn't comply with what has been said, does that mean T-Lo is the Raw GM? Stone Cold then books a match between Christian and Mysterio.

As we get back Booker T joins commentary weirdly without reason. Christian is ready for Rey Mysterio as he awaits his opponent. Christian also like the first match got disqualifed for going over the 5 count. For what we witnessed it was a decent match but after the match Mysterio began to attack Christian only to have CM Punk come to the ring and then the New Nexus which Mason Ryan takes advantage of to destroy Rey Mysterio leaving him with Christian.

Vickie Guerrero backstage annoys Stone Cold and grants Dolph Ziggler a US Title match as long as Dolph drops Vickie Guerrero which he agrees to do.

As we come back R-Truth makes his way to the ring. John Morrison then doesn't come out when his music plays and as R-Truth would say this is a conspiracy. R-Truth then went chasing after Morrison who no showed 3 times which is because John Morrison was attacked backstage.

Dolph Ziggler comes out with Vickie Guerrero by his side. Ziggler is teaming with Jack Swagger to take on Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne. Yet another decent but short match saw Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston win with the Air Bourne victory over Swagger.

We now get Piper's Pit with Alex Riley and The Miz. This helped book a match between Roddy Piper and The Miz with Alex Riley as the referee. Both men put $5,000's on the line.

As we return we are ready for The Miz Vs Roddy Piper with A-Ri as the referee. In another short match Roddy Piper beat The Miz and Alex Riley assaulted The Miz as was expected.

We have a 7 on 7 divas tag match with The Bellas, Rosa Mendes, Maryse, Alicia Fox, Tamina and Melina against Kaitlyn, AJ, Natalya, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix and Eve. This is the most i've seen in a match together and it begins with Kelly just kicking some ass before breaking into a brawl. Kelly Kelly then picks up the victory after K2. I can't be bothered to go back and write the names of who teh winners were but it overall was face team. Eve the divas do a tribute to broadway.

Andy has a little backstage segment with Stone Cold. Strange enough that even though he had this straight edge persona on Tough Enough he is beer with Stone Cold. Stone Cold then offers a beer to CM Punk who is a straight edge leader who came to than Stone Cold for booking Cena vs Punk.

Stone Cold returns to the ring to make an announcement and that is that next weeks raw is an interactive raw where everyone is going to make the matches and the stipulations of the matches.

Main event time and it is Cena Vs John Cena. Quite a decent match with a finish that Cena got distracted by R-Truth and the little Jimmy's. R-Truth then attacked Cena after the match.

This raw could have been a lot better if there was longer matches and less backstage segments. But it was decent for what it was worth.

TNA Slammiversary IX

We kicked off Slammiversary with the Tag Team Titles on the line, Gun Money as they are being called, Alex Shelley and James Storm were looking to defend against, The British Invasion, Magnus and Douglas Williams. In what was an awesome opening match, i'm safe to say Beer Money keep their titles. I thought TNA would have ended it there and had Roode go single but it looks like they will be keeping that for a while. I do somehow expect Shelley could be saying on the next IMPACT Wrestling that he deserves to keep the title or something like that. But my previous prediction was wrong.

Scott Steiner has a few words about the fans before his match and explains he is going to beat Matt Morgan. Just a quick thought before I talk about this match, I've realize that TNA didn't change the apron of the ring and it is still the IMPACT Wrestling ring at the Slammiversary ppv. At least the prediction of Matt Morgan winning was right and it was perfect because this match in my full honest opinion bored me. Yes it slowed the pace down after the first match but it seemed too slow. Morgan won via the carbon footprint, it wasn't like he would have won any other way anyway.

Backstage Jeff Jarrett is with Jeremy Borash. JB just asks if Jarrett ever thought he would be facing Angle when he started the company and fighting for the Olympic Gold Medal (forgetting about the number one contendership). Jarrett just claims he is going to win as most people do when they are being interviewed backstage.

Abyss is up against Kazarian and Kendrick next. Now what I don't seem to understand with this match is, triple threat matches usually have no disqualification in place. Earl Hebner is the senior official of TNA and should know by now not to count, or is this a new rule in TNA? Quite a decent match minus the downside of it not being a no dq rules match. Abyss retained after stealing a pinfall victory. Kendrick and Kazarian from the start had a mission to take out Abyss and that was faltered as soon as Kazarian was sent into Kendrick. Hope something good happens for the X-Division title come Destination X... how about Joe goes for it.

Speaking of which Samoa Joe Vs Crimson is next. The match was quite a decent match but the outcome was unexpected. I didn't expect Joe to win as they are building up Crimson as the unbeatable guy in TNA right now. Yet I didn't expect Crimson to win as it was against Samoa Joe. Quite nice to see Crimson did win however and he put up a good struggle against Joe, I say struggle because he didn't get to do much.

Jeremy Borash is with Angelina Love backstage and Winter is also there. Winter tells JB to move back and just explains to Angelina what she has to do and says she knows she is ready. Angelina talks again for the first time and explains how she knows she is on the same page as Winter which wasn't the case before.

Knockouts title match what can I say except, poor. This match was, well mind my language but shit from start to finish. The use of Winter wasn't needed at ringside if all she did was try and interfere when pinfalls were happening. There was some good moments but a botch finish and a 3 count just totally destroyed the whole match along with the recent run of good womens matches in the past week. Mickie James retained the title after her DDT finisher botched. After the match however Winter attacked Mickie James. This meaning that the feud is going to carry on for another match.

JB is now backstage with Bully Ray. Bully Ray just rants on claiming that AJ Styles is a boy in a man's game and that the key word in the next match is Man not Standing. That being a last man standing match. In what was an epic encounter Bully Ray got the victory. AJ Styles simply was, pun intended, phenomenal. He took it to the limit and I give it to him saved the pay per view after the poor knockouts match. Bully Ray also put on a great show in this match and I witnessed a bit of ECW revived when Bully Ray was chopping AJ and then AJ requested for another.

JB is then backstage with Mr Anderson after the match as the next match is the World Heavyweight Title match. He just cut a little promo saying that playtime is over, no more mocking Sting and time to go win the title.

In quite a decent first main event as I see it we crown a new champion in Mr. Anderson. What a cheating way to steal a victory though with a blatant low blow before hitting the Mic Check. Bischoff played mind games with Sting during the match and made him believe the 3 count happened. But one thing i've noticed is his son was the referee of the match, Garrett Bischoff who is also known as Jackson James. This storyline is going to develop well in my opinion.

Our second main event is the number one contendership match which i'm glad they have mentioned now instead of just the gold medal. Just before the match we get a video via satellite of Karen Jarrett who is at home apparently but I believe is in the IMPACT Wrestling Zone. This match was the perfect fit to end the pay per view. Had me from start to finish just wanting Angle to win the match and i'm glad he did. A near chance of seeing him tap out to the Ankle Lock to then reverse the move into his own Ankle Lock and a tap out by Jeff Jarrett. Angle retained his gold medal and is now the number one contender to face Mr. Anderson which I expected if Anderson was going to be champion due to their previous encounters being amazing.

Overall this pay per view was quality all throughout if you take out the Knockouts Championship match. TNA pulled the cat out the bag and hopefully Destination X keeps it up with the pay per views.

Pre-Slammiversary Thoughts!

Tonight in America is Slammiversary and in the UK it will air on Wednesday. I have huge thoughts of the pay per view and who will win, plus why they are going to win.

Match One which has been announced is the Tag Team Championship Match between Gun Money, Alex Shelley and James Storm against The British Invasion, Douglas Williams and Magnus. Now with this match I see one thing happening; The British Invasion winning the titles. This is due to the fact Alex Shelley and James Storm have had one match as a team together and they previously lost that match. The big thing with this is two things. Beer Money are great heels and work well as champions; and Robert Roode can turn heel and become part of the TNA main event.

The next match that I will be talking about is the TNA Knockout Championship. Mickie James who is the current champion will be facing Angelina Love. Angelina Love is a 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time Knockouts Champion. That is going to be in her favour in the match as Taz would probably say and with her being under Winter's hypnosis or whatever it is will become the champion. Mickie James won the title 2 pay per views back and in TNA's timing that means she is likely to lose at this pay per view.

Matt Morgan is finally going up against Scott Steiner at the pay per view which should have happened at the previous pay per view but didn't due to Steiner getting a better payday elsewhere. With this match hopefully TNA see what fans want and will give Morgan the victory. The victory will also be able to help build Morgan into another one of the next members of the main event of TNA.

AJ Styles is going up against Bully Ray which storyline wise was changed at the previous pay per view due to Tommy Dreamer attacking AJ for no reason. But yeah back to the storyline Bully Ray will face AJ and this will be a quality match. I'm expecting AJ to get the victory but swerve wise, Bully Ray could come out of this the winner. This being he previously lost to RVD on the IMPACT Wrestling before the pay per view, but also because he is being built up as a heel. Also due to the stipulation of Last Man Standing the chain he uses will get involved.

Samoa Joe is going against Crimson in a TNA version of Streak Vs Nothing. Crimson currently has a winning streak going on in TNA and they are building it up as the only other guy who had a streak was Samoa Joe (who now turned heel). Due to this I see the match ending out as a draw. This is because both guys are built as being unbeatable (even though Joe has been beat a lot now). Plus Crimson in my opinion shouldn't be beating Joe in a match.

TNA X-Division/Xtreme Title match which is Abyss Vs Kazarian Vs Brian Kendrick. Currently Abyss is the champion and previously changed the title to the Xtreme championship. Kaz and Kendrick will be fighting for the title to claim it back as the X-Division championship. But due to the whole X-Division show for Destination X and the 6 sided ring (if it doesn't get removed by the time). So i see Kaz or Kendrick geting the win, hopefully.

The Final Battle is being announced by TNA between Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett. What is on the line is Kurt Angle's Gold Medal and there is also the number one contendership for the World Heavyweight Championship. Due to Angle's Gold Medal being on the line I see him winning and then losing at his chance for the title. This due to the fact he should be training for the Olympics. But some how Jarrett is going to try and screw Angle out the match and someone will interfere.

Final match of the night. TNA World Heavyweight Championship match between Sting and Mr. Anderson. Sting overall is winning this match and remaining is champion. One helps with advertising the TNA shows over here in the UK right now and two due to Anderson is not going to beat Sting. Even though Gunner got the pinfall on Thursday, Sting is not going to drop to Anderson unless it is in a shock swerve for the fans. After all the mockery/homage, Sting is going to win in TNA's eyes.

So yes that is is guys. If you are in America tune in tonight it sounds a decent pay per view and if you are in the UK then tune in Wednesday on Challenge.

Smackdown

We kick off Smackdown with Christian. He comes out and explains that he isn't doing anything for his peeps again which means he has now officially turned heel. Is this a good thing as there seems to be quite a few top heels on the Smackdown brand. Christian gets Michael Cole into the ring just to talk to the fans as they would be now asking if he should be champion and got a chorus of boo's for asking. If I were to pick the champion for Smackdown then it would be, Sheamus.

The first match of the night is a 6 man tag match as we have, The Corre; Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater against Ezekiel Jackson and The Uso's, Jimmy and Jey Uso. Big Zeke and The Uso's get the victory, but what was a surprise in the match was that Barrett walked out on his team mates, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater. I guess he has technically left The Corre and that the faction/stable are no more.

Sheamus goes to Teddy Long backstage and requests a match against Christian but gets a match against Randy Orton instead; and the match is No DQ so obvious Christian will get involved. Slater and Gabriel walk away from Barrett backstage saying The Corre is over.

Trent Baretta is in the ring for action against Jinder Mahal. Quite a short decent match for Jinder Mahal who got the victory via his unnamed finisher but as I explained last week it is some sort of a Full Nelson Side Slam. This guy has a future in the WWE as long as storylines permit.

AJ Lee is backstage with Jack Korpela and just quickly explained she is excited for her singles match against Tamina. Weird that last week I said AJ was the better of the team, wonder where Kaitlyn is. Tamina also had an altercation backstage with her handing her some cheese and calling her a mouse. AJ responds telling them that Lay-Cool want their gimmick back.

AJ comes out with Natalya by her side still and is facing Tamina who has Rosa Mendes by her side and like I said last week about her, is she just acting as a cheerleader. AJ did well in the match and proved why she should be on her own instead of teaming with Kaitlyn. I'm expecting next week we will get Kaitlyn on her own and she will get the victory. I'm just hoping for more AJ on her own.

Randy Orton comes out to the ring and asks Christian to come and say what he has to say to his face. Christian appears on the titantron and just mock, Teddy Long by asking the fans if he should go and talk to Orton. Christian asks for one more match and explains why Orton is still champion from last week. The match then gets booked for Orton Vs Christian at Capitol Punishment as Christian asks for it and Orton says you are on. Christian then leaves in a car after explaining it is when he wants to do something it will happen not when Orton does.

After a short segment between Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr we see that Sin Cara will be in action and he is against Ted DiBiase Jr. Cody comes out and as he said will be calling the shots for Ted's match due to the recent matches he has had. Yet again the situation with the lights and a Sin Cara match happens and I guess like me it is getting on a lot of peoples nerves. For the length of the match it was decent until Cody got invovled. Cody and Ted started beating up Sin Cara and Daniel Bryan came in for the save.

Teddy Long then booked a tag match between Cody/Ted and Bryan/Sin Cara. As we came back from the advert the match had already began. Such a quality tag team match and Daniel Bryan thank god got the victory via the LeBell Lock.

Again for another week I skipped the From The Vault match which saw Edge beat John Morrison. Johnny Curtis cuts another weird promo in which basically he is saying he has a chip on his shoulder, even though in the UK that would have translated to crisp on his shoulder. After a short promo from Orton we are here, main event time.

Sheamus Vs Randy Orton is the match and No DQ is the rules. Was a decent match that was PPV quality in my opinion. Christian also got involved and attacked Orton with the title again.

Friday 10 June 2011

IMPACT Wrestling: 09/06/2011

We kick off IMPACT Wrestling with Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff (who are reportedly annoyed with Vince Russo's booking). They cut a short promo about talking to the "Network" and how the network love the changes. Also how the "Network" love the X-Division which means Destination X should be great. Eric then calls out Sting and Anderson. Anderson comes out as himself for once instead of "Young Sting". Hogan then explains when he met with the network a few weeks ago he said that nothing is going to happen during Slammiversary's World Title main event and that there will only be a winner and a loser in the match.

Mr. Anderson says to Sting that he was imitating him and making a joke out of his character and that Sting overall is a joke. As obvious during a last promo he claims that he will beat Sting and become the champion. Sting takes over now and says that he will he will not and can not lose the title because he has the power that way. Just a usual promo from Sting now asking Hogan to change and not to be who he is right now, just going after all the power.

Mickie James and Tara are against Angelina Love and Winter in tag team action. Quite a decent knockouts match and all of the divas/knockouts wrestling has made me proud this week. They have all put on good performances. Angelina Love picks up the victory with her new finisher, don't know what it is called or how to explain it, but what I can say is she got the victory mainly due to interference from Madison Rayne that knocked down Tara. The only problem right now with TNA/IMPACT Wrestling is all these little divas feuds. We have gone nowhere now from the ODB/Velvet Sky situation and straight back into the Winter/Angelina Love/Mickie James storyline and mixed in a Madison Rayne/Tara storyline.

Robert Roode is backstage where he just gives a brief talk about how Shelley/Storm have to go out and beat Mexican America tonight before they worry about, The British Invasion at Slammiversary. He explains how he is slightly annoyed he can't do anything where as Mexican America have the numbers game on Shelley/Storm tonight. Mexican America just talk about how they don't get what they deserve because of the American's who just take it away from them. We get footage of the Samoa Joe/Crimson brawl which was obviously set up and then I believe it is Jason Hervey asking, Jeff Jarrett how his wife, Karen is.

Mexican America come out ready to face Gun Money (Shelley and Storm, even though Storm is the "Beer" in Beer Money). The British Invasion are on commentary. Magnus uses the "Conspiracy" word which is being thrown around in wrestling recently about how Shelley and Storm are not officially the tag team champions as they didn't win the titles as a team. Quite a decent tag match and what I expected with the miscommunication of Shelley and Storm that cost them the match. Would have been better if Hernandez got the pinfall. We also witnessed, Sarita and Rosita get invovled; who didn't expect that? My plan looks like it is happening and they will lose the titles at Slammiversary.

We have a backstage segment where basically, Mr. Anderson tells Gunner (is he still part of Immortal) to forget about Eric Young and help him by hurting Sting. The good jackass Hogan came out in the backstage segment with Mexican America. What I mean is how he told them that there is no messing around with him and Bischoff.

Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle come out but Jarrett says instead of a slanging match, Angle will just have to listen to him. He explains how he bought Angle into TNA. How Angle became an egomaniac. How Jarrett took everything away from Angle; that being his wife, his kids, etc. and how he wants to end it all and have the Olympic Gold Medal which Kurt Angle posses. Angle explains he is happy Karen isn't around as he only wanted him and Jeff, 1 on 1.

ODB cuts a little promo about how she is going to just beat up Velvet Sky who just represents the fake people. Kaz and Kendrick are going out to try and find Abyss.

Bull Ray has an open challenge which is accepted by RVD. RVD gets the victory in what was a short match and quite poor in my opinion. It was mainly, lets go back and see the move that just happened, another move happens so lets go back and see a replay of it. AJ comes out gets into the head of Bully Ray and then RVD gets a victory via the 5 star frog splash.

Kaz and Kendrick find Abyss who books himself in a match at Slammiversary against the two guys for the X-Division title which he calls the Xtreme title, well I believe that is how I should spell it due to the big X on the belt.

ODB makes her way out for her match with Velvet Sky but not from the ramp and without music. Velvet Sky then comes from behind to attack her. After a while once it is all in the ring and the bell has rang, ODB instantly goes for a pinfall. Velvet Sky gets the victory after a DDT? I'm a bit annoyed this match didn't end as quick as the RVD/Bully Ray match did; hell it should have ended quicker than it did. There were several comments by Taz that ODB isn't signed to the company apparently. So why does she get promo time, why is she getting a match, why wasn't she being arrested or taken off the premises for appearing and attacking Velvet Sky before?

Eric Young is still acting his dumb self and says that in the tag match if he gets the pinfall on Sting he has won the title from Sting. Sting the gives him a warning about how Anderson and Gunner will be trying to hurt him and tells Eric not to be a comedy act and actually wrestle tonight in the ring. Gunner and Anderson did what they set out to do and dominated Sting in the match. When Eric Young came in he was quite serious until he knocked into Sting which apparently was a tag. Gunner then got the pinfall and the victory.

After the match we got Sting backstage telling Eric to stop being comic relief. AJ just says how Bully Ray is like a balloon and once you pop him he will be gone forever. Anderson then says Gunner is not as good as Sting and makes a run for it when Sting goes after him. Sting then goes crazy and just beats up Mr. Anderson backstage.

Superstars

We kick off Superstars with JTG Vs Chris Masters which was being filmed when Tough Enough was live. In this match, all I can really say is that Chris Masters was the dominant force. JTG was either taking a break inbetween the ropes or he was being attacked by Masters. Yes JTG got a few hits here and there to Masters but it wasn't enough as the Masterlock became the reality and the match was over.

Divas tag action and we have Maryse & Melina against Gail Kim and Eve. Quite a normal match in my standard for the divas in the short amount of time that they had. Melina picked up the victory after a Sunset Split. The match had some great offense from Gail Kim and the only problem was the botch by Melina.

Mark Henry comes out and yet again the play the trick on him by having someone's theme song play and no one comes out. Matt Striker takes it into the ring and asks Mark Henry why he thinks no one comes out after their music has played. Henry goes on to say everyone is scared of him and that as his music says, if they do come out they are going to get their ass kicked.

Main event time and Vickie Guerrero this time is the manager of Tyson Kidd, even though she is a member of the Raw brand. Tyson Kidd is up against Yoshi Tatsu. Matt Striker says on commentary he is still the agent of Tyson Kidd as he set up the deal for Vickie Guerrero to manage him. Yoshi Tatsu gets the victory over Tyson Kidd again and now Vickie Guerrero has dropped Tyson Kidd (which is kind of expected anyway).

Thursday 9 June 2011

Florida Championship Wrestling

Oh its real, it's damn real. We kick off a great episode of FCW with a Tag Team Title match and it is the current champions, Seth Rollins (who many might know as Tyler Black) and Richie Steamboat (Son of the legendary, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat") against Los Aviadores, Hunico (who was Incognito) and Epico (who is/was Tito Colon). Los Aviadores are 2 time former FCW Tag Team Champions giving them a little bit of an advantage over the current champions; but in an epic encounter the current tag team champions retain their titles ending the match with a double superkick to the head of Hunico.

After an advertisement we have a backstage segment where the general manager of FCW, Maxine (who appeared on NXT season 3 if you remember) acting all close to FCW President, Steve Kerin to find out who his, "Presidential pick is for the 8 man tag team match" in the main event.

Xavier Woods (Consequences Creed from TNA) is up now and he is facing Michael Tarver (yes that guy from NXT season 1 and the original Nexus). Xavier Woods was the winner in what became a bit of a boring match. One of the most exciting parts in the match was actually when it looked like Woods had something because he hit a backdrop sending Tarver into the steel steps, which Tarver had already made available for use.

Raquel Diaz (Shaul Guerrero to everyone who knows) is talking to Jacob Novak who is in his, JTG style gear. He isn't the best speaker on the planet and this small interview/promo kind of bored me. He then points out William Regal who he had a match with on NXT. That happened because Regal made a comment about Novak which annoyed Jacob Novak.

Aksana is putting the FCW Divas Championship on the line against Naomi. Both again were on NXT season 3 and Naomi was the original FCW Divas Champion. Now to comment on this match is quite hard other than the fact Naomi is a pretty decent wrestler and I would prefer to see her on TV winning the real Divas Championship. Aksana got the steal of a victory due to Maxine pushing her so she was on top with the pinfall. AJ then comes out for the save as Aksana and Maxine were going for the beat down.

Team Maxine are, Connor O'Brian from NXT, Mason Ryan from The New Nexus and former FCW Heavyweight Champion, Damien Sandow and Lucky Cannon. Team Steve Kerin are Big E Langston, Leakee, Titus O'Neil who like many others appeared on NXT and is on the Redemption season right now. The final pick which is the Presidential pick is Mr. Florida but after previous episodes of FCW it is quite easy to notice that, FCW President, Steve Kerin chose Bo Rotundo who in the previous episode said he will be taking a few weeks off from FCW. In quite a decent match from the start it was Mr. Florida who in the end got the victory after a great spear (which looked like a gore). He then cleaned house and got rid of the rest of Team Maxine after the match had finished.

I'm not going to be giving FCW a rating but i will say it was a great show and should replace NXT as the talent are just the same. Plus talent who appear on Superstars could have special appearances.

Wednesday 8 June 2011

What should replace NXT?

NXT the start of the next generation of wrestlers for the WWE. But after series 1 and 2 the 3rd series of NXT became a diva's version and it took until recently for Kaitlyn to be on WWE TV along with AJ who was part of the same series. Did she get her diva's title shot as well? I can't remember, or was she actually not fighting for a divas title shot. Kaval was the winner of the second series and after a few weeks on Smackdown where he wrestled for the Intercontinental title (unlike the WWE title from the 1 season). We then got series 4 after the divas series which Johnny Curtis was the winner of alongside his pro R-Truth who he was supposed to have a tag team title shot with. After a while he now appeared on Smackdown crying over spilt milk.

We are currently into season 5 of NXT and the winner of this season which features talent that were on former NXT seasons (minus the divas season) fighting for a shot on season 6 of the show. Is there any point in that because the winner of season 6 only gets a contract with the WWE. So after replacing ECW with a poor attempt at a reality/game show. What should have actually replaced ECW?

We all know NXT isn't what we wanted it to be after season 1 plus the fixed voting to make the successful winner of, Wade Barrett. Should we have got Florida Championship Wrestling on TV in the UK and available online for United States viewers. Should we get another version of Superstars? Should we have a 3rd brand back? Could they bring back Heat or Velocity? I'm going to look at the options and what sounds the best choice for fans of wrestling.

Heat/Velocity

Heat and Velocity were the Superstars of time gone by. With Heat and Velocity we got more action for those superstars who didn't get matches on mainstream programming such as Smackdown and Raw. Heat for Raw and Velocity for Smackdown. Many local talents also got in on the action with Heat and Velocity such as Alex Shelley, Samoa Joe, CM Punk, "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan) and more. But having one of them back gives more air time for those superstars that don't have a chance to get on Raw, Smackdown or Superstars itself.

Florida Championship Wrestling

Many should know by now that FCW is the development for the WWE and what many probably don't know is that FCW has its own television program which airs only in Tampa Bay and Central Florida only. That leaves the world to have to search via other mediums to find the recent episodes of FCW online. There is multiple talent who appear on NXT already that are in FCW and appear on their TV program. So giving us the option to watch FCW could be done.

3rd Brand

The two brands mean that there is only a certain amount of chances that some superstars get a chance to appear on their specific brand. Having a few experienced and less experienced superstars and next generation superstars appear on the brand and let them have their own storylines. They could use old WCW names as well such as Nitro or Thunder.

So after 6 seasons of NXT there could be a replacement if WWE realized what their fans want.

Are you Tough Enough for Raw?

Tough Enough Review:

Live final review here. We got a little back track of who had been there and the history of Tough Enough for this series. From this i'm pushing for Andy to win, I was upset to see he came from FCW (WWE's development) to go into Tough Enough but silent rage is finally kicking in.

Andy went home and got to meet his child and his pregnant wife while trying to win back what he already had. Andy is well prepared for the final and his wife is a great supporter of him.

Luke now and he is just a party guy. If anything he believes he will be living the Ric Flair style. His training is really intense like he said and was good to see him and his brother use a wrestling ring to train while waiting to go to FCW. That was fake just then crying to his mom and then when he walks out the door he is smirrking.

This is epic that the tough enough winner will be announced just before Raw starts.

To see the guys are training with Ricky Steamboat and Steamboat's crew that will be great. Steambot is such a legend in wrestling and part of the WWE Hall of Fame. Andy and Luke wil l face Bill DeMott in the 5 minute, exhibition match.

So i've missed a bit of the show due to the internet cutting out. But seeing these two guys training it will be intense with Steambot training them and being in FCW. As said beforehand FCW have helped launch guys into the WWE such as Sheamus, Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler and more.

OK so Luke and Andy are both having their matches air at the same time, kind of. The matches are in montage style to the Tough Enough theme song, "Champion" by Chipmunk and Chris Brown. From what we were able to see i'd say Andy looked well but lets really see what overall, Stone Cold and the rest of the officials say.

We are introduced to the trainers and then they bring out the guys who didn't make it to the final. Trish introduces Andy and Luke out as they are the finalists. Thank god for the fact they allowed Stone Cold to be himself and swear on live tv. Nice to see all the trainers decided that Andy is the stand out. The two finalists just give their thoughts on each other and then Vince arrives.

What did i know Andy won the contract. Quite ironic how the guy who already had a contract in the WWE and was part of FCW has now won a contract for the WWE. Vince welcomed him with a slap and then just then he got a Stone Cold Stunner. Nice that Stone Cold gave him a handshake when he was out the ring though.

Raw Review:

R-Truth comes out while Vince and Stone Cold are in the ring. His public apology was very comical. R-Truth brings up his conspiracy theory again. Thank god the Miz comes out which is awesome. He cuts a little promo about how he was the best champ until A-Ri got invovled with the business. A-Ri comes out now and then John Cena. This sets up for the main event of Cena and A-Ri Vs R-Truth and The Miz.

I've noticed a lot of segments like this happen when someone big is in the ring like, Vince McMahon, Stone Cold, The Rock, Bret Hart, etc. Nice to see, Stone Cold is the special referee for that main event though, but not many days after Smackdown where Christian was special guest referee? Oh and when Bret Hart was special guest referee the previous time on Raw in a tag team match?

So since Superstars we got Santino Vs Michael McGillicutty who is one half of the tag team champions. Very much a normal match from Santio who won via the Cobra. Upsetting that they lost on Superstars to the champs yet only one of them beat one half of the champs on Raw.

Kelly Kelly is in action next teaming with Beth Phoenix. They will be facing The Bella Twins. Nice work from Kelly Kelly to start the match off. I've noticed a lot of diva tag matches recently as well. The match hasn't lasted long enough yet in my opinion and Beth Phoenix wants to tag in. Nice for Beth Phoenix to win the match with the Glam Slam.

So Swagger set up a match against Booker T by saying he doesn't have it any more.

CM Punk is facing Rey Mysterio, yet again. Mysterio gets the victory this time in what I will be calling a pay per view quality match. It had the fans from start to finish and wanted something to happen to Mason Ryan so Rey can get the victory, and that did happen when Rey used a spinning DDT to take out Ryan with his feet. Rey then went to the top to hit a spash (which I always thought was a diving/dropping headbutt).

We got a new Capitol Punishment preview where R-Truth was part of the interviewers with Barack Obama. That press conference was better than previous ones. Cena is talking to A-Ri backstage. Next Monday is going to be a 3 hour All Star episode of Raw. Does that mean everyone is going to be massive and smashing each other out of the ring, or does it mean former stars come back for one night?

Alberto Del Rio comes out now. He brings up what happened 2 weeks ago to The Big Show and says it was an accident. Trust Del Rio to poke fun at The Big Show even more while he is at home injured. Ricardo Rodriguez came out dressed as The Big Show to allow Del Rio to say what he wanted to The Big Show and end with how he isn't threatening The Big Show he is making a promise to him.

Zack Ryder is on Raw now due to the internet revolution. Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero are on commentary for the match as Ryder faces Kofi Kingston. Ziggler is just awesome on commentary and tweeting while doing commentary as well, way to multi-task. Such a decent match from Ryder and Kingston and from this i'm hoping Ryder gets more time on Raw.

R-Truth and Miz are backstage just talking without us being able to hear. It will bascially be about them teaming together. Booker T is seen walking backstage in his gear to face Jack Swagger. Swagger got counted out the match making Booker T the winner and then Evan Bourne came to attack him from behind.

Main Event time and what a special guest referee as he isn't wearing the black and white stripes. So just like how Bret Hart screwed CM Punk; Austin now screws The Miz out of the match as he allows Riley to use the breifcase, hits Miz with a Stone Cold Stunner and then gives the three count after an Attitude Adjustment from Cena. John Cena and Alex Riley get disqualifed due to the order of the Raw GM. Austin is Special Guest GM on next weeks Raw and Stone Cold then trashed the poduium of the anonymous Raw GM.

Raw Rating = 5/5

This is my first rating of 5 for the weekly episodes. This is due to how Raw had me watching from start to finish and was just gripping. Even the divas match was decent. PPV's are rated out of 10.

Laying The Smackdown!

Smackdown!

To kick off Smackdown there is a video package about how it took Christian 17 years and he had his dream crushed but tonight is the night of Sheamus. Proves how much the WWE haven't got over the fact Christian lost now.

Oh and Christian is kicking off the show against Mark Henry... quite a weird show opener in my opinion. The match just was not as good as it could have been. It was very slow and I know Mark Henry is a big guy but hell The Big Show can run. But to me Christian seemed slow and it seemed a bit of a sloppy match. Christian cuts a promo after the match in which right now it looks like he will soon be turning back into his temper tantrum character. Teddy Long cuts Christian off and puts him into the title match later on in the night as the special guest referee.

6 Divas tag team match now Rosa Mendes, Alicia Fox and Tamina (how did she turn heel?) and their opponents are Natalya, AJ and Kaitlyn... or should I say the Chick Busters? Ok so even though we had Rosa Mendes in the ring it is Alicia Fox and Tamina against AJ and Kaitlyn again. Why is Rosa Mendes there... what is she giving Alicia and Tamina... is she their cheerleader? Quite a right time to bring it up, i'm kind of getting annoyed right now with being able to hear the referees... if it was a count out yeah that is fine or the pinfall, but right now when they are saying stuff like watch the hair and basic stuff I don't want to hear it. What a nice Samoan Drop from Tamina to end the match.

Bit funny how we got a promo for Sin Cara during the show. I find it funny due to the fact he is on the roster and has already had his few matches. Will they be sending him down to FCW for a while? I don't think so. Will Averno (WWE's latest signing) be on Smackdown A.S.A.P.? I don't know. What I do know is that Sin Cara shouldn't have been pushed so early on. Even if it is to get those Mexican fans into watching the WWE.

Cody Rhodes comes out right now with his baggers. Such another great promo from Cody Rhodes again and i'm glad he can talk because it has made his character develop well.

Khali has a backstage segment in which Jinder Mahal has replaced Ranjin Singh at his side. Jinder Mahal talks for The Great Khali leaving the giant as he was before, a monster.

Jinder Mahal comes out for his wrestling debut on WWE Television rather than his overall WWE debut. His match is against Yoshi Tatsu quite a great wrestler. Jinder has the look of a heel and more than that a WWE heel. With Great Khali at his side and him at Khali's side this will be a dominant force. Hopefully it works better than when they had Daivari and Muhammad Hassan as heels on Smackdown. Quite a job match there but a nice in ring debut for Jinder Mahal and that finisher, the full nelson side slam was just impactful. Hope to see more from Mahal and a future push down the line. Maybe Del Rio style but he actually wins a title and that being the Intercontinental at first. Khali applied the Vice Grip after the match attacking Yoshi Tatsu.

Ezekiel Jackson gets another shot at the Intercontinental Championship against the champion, Wade Barrett. Quite a decent short match, Wade Barrett got the spinning side slam on Big Zeke again. Barrett got counted out and Big Zeke won the match but not the title and finally he let Gabriel and Slater of The Corre go into the ring alone against Big Zeke after the match as he walked off backstage. Looks like The Corre is falling apart.

Sheamus has an interview backstage he has a quick talk about how Christian shouldn't be annoyed about Sheamus being the number 1 contender. He then talks to Christian backstage and says that wouldn't mind a triple threat match. Christian responds saying that he knows Sheamus is lying and will call the match down the middle, like most special guest referees say.

Daniel Bryan is in action next and he is against Ted DiBiase Jr. Is it me or does the logo on Ted's trunks look like an old Taker logo? Quite a decent match and some great counters by Ted such as the powerful lariat and the dropkick instead of the missile dropkick from Bryan. Daniel Bryan got the victory with the LeBell Lock and then was attacked by Rhodes and DiBiase. Sin Cara came out for the save and slightly botched the first head scissors take down but it actually looked well. Next week should see Sin Cara and Daniel Bryan Vs Cody and Ted (not calling them Priceless again as Cody is the leader).

From the Vault match is something I skipped but it was a great match from Edge and Rey Mysterio. We also got a Raw recap about R-Truth and John Cena's parts. Johnny Curtis backstage was watching the recap of Raw in which he explains after winning NXT Season 4 he should have got a tag team title shot... but because Truth is on Raw and going for the big one that isn't going to happen he then said he is going to do what any other superstar would do and acted out the phrase "crying over spilt milk."

Michael Cole explained that at Capitol Punishment R-Truth will face John Cena for the WWE Championship and a graphic appears for the match, but R-Truth has to apologize tonight/tomorrow morning to get the match at Capitol Punishment. So why was there a graphic for that exact match if it isn't happening unless Truth says he is sorry?

Main event time and Christian as the referee comes out first. Orton is next and then the challenger, Sheamus. Great match and certainly main event quality, maybe even pay per view quality. Sheamus got cost the title by bumping into Christian, Christian went to give Sheamus the three count but stopped after two. A little bit of a push and a shove then Randy Orton hits an RKO to set up the victory. Christian laid out Randy with the title after the match and then began to walk to the back with it over his shoulder. Is he a face? Is he a heel? All I can say is right now, Christian is a tweener.

ICW Monday Night BRAW! Review

ICW Monday Night BRAW Episode #3.

First off because it is easier to review ICW Monday Night BRAW. We are into the 3rd episode which can be watched at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OXe4_tB-6g&feature=player_embedded. Noam Dar defended his ICW Zero-G Championship against 5 other men in a 10 minute scramble match. Christopher, Joe Coffey, Dickie Divers, Johnny Starr and Andy Anderson all put on a great match along with the champion, just an exciting match from the first bell to the last. We also saw The Gold Label arrive and just destroy Andy Anderson, Christopher and Johnny Starr after the match and then start mocking the fans and the wrestlers in the back. The Gold Label consists of Wolfgang, James Scott, Red Lightning and Lionheart. Their main opposition are Chris Renfew, Kid Fite, Jack Jester and BT Gunn.

Sunday Night Superstars!

Due to the lack of a blog yesterday there will be quite a few today. If anything yesterday was a busy day for me (even though most days are). I will be kicking off today with a review of Superstars.

First match of the night is Tyson Kidd with new manager, Matt Striker who is resembling Paul E. Dangerously with the whole "on the phone" managing. Yet again Tyson's opponent is Trent Baretta and Booker T takes over commentary for Matt Striker. Usual match from these two and by that Imean a great match from the start. So apparently to begin with Striker wasn't his manager and has just signed a deal with Tyson Kidd to be his agent because he can get his face plastered over WWE.com.

Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel are now up against The Uso's (Jimmy and Jey Uso). Gabriel and Slater were the victors in this match but weirdly enough last time i remember the Uso's they were heels, this time i was cheering them both on and wanted them to get the victory. Such a great encounter between the two teams and i hope to see more from them in the future. Right now though i've just realized the lack of Zack on Superstars.

Divas match and because i'm not a big fan of WWE's women wrestling i've decided to play through this match fast... but now i found out it is Melina Vs Gail Kim i just might watch. I'm glad i watched it as it was quite a match and Gail Kim winning made me happy. Not much i can say really other than Gail Kim's finisher is quite something different to usual finishers.

We got to see that god awful Capitol Punishment promo before a few other things such as the Raw Rewind.

Marella and Kozlov are against the new tag team champions, The New Nexus', David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty. Great thing to see new champions in the main event of Superstars instead of on the actual brand shows, Raw or Smackdown. New Nexus win the match which is great because of the fact they are the tag team champions. Good match to end on and not much comedy from Santino in ring mainly the cobra.

Rating = 4/5

Friday 3 June 2011

A new day, a new IMPACT Wrestling!

Yes it is Friday which means it is time to review and rant about IMPACT Wrestling. Now due to WWE's lack of form in the past i became a fan of TNA's product. But ever since they failed to please me on all occasions as well. I've stuck by them through thick and thin and decided that sometime soon (other than the Jeff Hardy situation) they are going to let me down big time. Hopefully not before Destination X.

Start off with Eric B right now, not much to talk about there before we get ODB kicking the crap out of Velvet Sky. Not much done by Velvet except for a couple of hits to ODB before getting beat up. Lee South the TNA Photographer and TNA's security got beat up in the process of the beat down. Miss. Tessmacher (weird name) came out after Velvet was stripped to her bra and panties and ODB had left. Pretty pointless there really.

Tenay and Taz are talking before Sting's music hit and yet again Anderson comes out. If they were to make it more original one of the times i'd have Sting come out with Anderson slowly following behind him or something like that as now every time i hear Sting's music i'm expecting Anderson. Anderson quickly talks about how he is going to face one of Sting's most famous competitors. After last week and Disco Inferno i'm expecting it to be someone funny/silly.

Kendrick backstage interrupts Bischoff who is on a phonecall to someone named Scott. Nice to see Bischoff let Kendrick face Kazarian during the show in an X-Division style match.

Bischoff has a during the break segment and then is in the ring next thing we see of him. During the break he was just talking on the phone again and in the ring Bischoff calls out Beer Money. Bischoff is trying to take Beer Money's titles away from them because of the 30 day no compete clause and the fact The British Invasion are waiting to face someone but can't face Beer Money. Alex Shelley comes out and tells the Bischoff he will take the place of Roode because his partner Chris Sabin is injured as well right now. Gun Money will defend the titles against The British Invasion and i'm not taking it out on Shelley or Storm but i see this happening.

TNA make them lose the titles. Shelley gets into an argument with Roode. Roode turns heel. Roode faces Shelley. Storm defends him. Roode feuds with Storm. Defeats Storm in match and then goes on to bigger things. But this is TNA so i don't see anything past the losing of the titles.

Crimson is up against Matt Hardy right now and what a poor thing that is because it cost me the whole post of what i've got so far. I accidentally reloaded the page, but back to it. Nice to see Crimson is keeping up this undefeated streak thing going on, bit annoyed that they seem like they will be ending it soon or making him go over Samoa Joe at the pay per view to continue the streak. Crimson could have been built up like Goldberg and if TNA had a way of getting him there had Goldberg end the streak not Samoa Joe. Back to the match the appeal it gave was what it turned out to be, very boring but an ok finish with the Sky High. Samoa Joe coming out after the match was obvious as Crimson came out after Joe's match last week and nice to see Crimson get the spear.

The backstage segment with Eric Young and Ander-Sting was quite funny and having Eric say about running seminars about how to wrestle a great match as the one he and Gunner had (which was great in a comedy way). Anderson brings up Sting Vs Great Muta as a great match. Nice little plug of the slogan "wrestling matters" in the segment. The two guys will apparently be paying homage to Sting and The Great Muta in the match later on in the night.

Winter and Love have a backstage segment where Winter is basically just ranting about what happened last week with Mickie James. So we finally get to hear "Crazy" Angelina Love and she just said a few things before bringing up the fact she is going to do what she is going to do in honour of Winter.

Nice to see Bischoff playing out this thing with the letter from "The Network" and bringing up the fact that in WCW the network didn't want wrestling and saw completely different ideas, etc. He then says TNA right now is going into that phase where they will be took off the network and realistically have to be bought (which obviously isn't the case).

Christy Hemme is in my opinion the Lillian Garcia of TNA now. She sings and does ring announcing duties. But back to the match it is Knockouts action (i feel like Michael Cole at the minute mainstream womens wrestling bores me). What was bought up before the match kicked off was Angelina Love is the number one contender for the Knockouts championship... how did this happen. How did she become number one contender was it from the beat down last week? Back to the match. Pretty decent match and looks like Angelina Love has a new finisher.

Mr Ander-Sting is up against The Not So Great Muta (Eric Young) now. If they wanted him against someone Muta like then they should have got Kiyoshi back as he is a direct style of The Great Muta. Eric Young is on a roll that was a great match played out by him and Anderson aka Sting & The Not So Great Muta. Glad the green mist got used and came into play to be the decider. I know Young and Gunner have this feud that is ongoing right now but the fact he came out in the match annoyed me slightly. Gunner and Anderson begin to beat up Young and then Sting comes out to make the save yet again.

Another match now and i'm sad there isn't actually any promos yet. Brian Kendrick is facing Kazarian in an X-Division style match. To great a match and because of that it ended in a no contest (something TNA seemed to do a lot before). Was nice to see the guy who's character hates the X-Division continue the X-Division style match. Abyss came out during the rematch and because Kendrick kind of attacked first there wasn't a DQ when Kaz got attacked. The match ended in a no contest if anything and i love how Abyss keeps bringing up stuff from "The Art of War".

So we got an AJ Styles confrontation with Bully Ray. I just realized AJ doesn't have his neck brace on so is his injury healed now after a few weeks? Just a regular promo now from Bully Ray talking about how wrestlers now or days aren't as manly as they were back in the day they all play video games, go on laptops, etc. Last Man Standing match for Bully Ray and AJ Styles. When he said one man up and one man down i thought Elevation X, shame it wasn't that.

Main event time - Angle and Morgan Vs Steiner and Jarrett. Shame Steiner quickly went from face and being a friend with Angle to being a heel and facing Matt Morgan. Pretty basic main event from a company like TNA and yet again while the action is in the ring we get another split screen just so we know now that Hulk Hogan has arrived... WHY? because they are TNA. If anything they could have showed it during the advert after the match... expecting there is an advert. The announced match of Sting and Young vs Anderson and Gunner during this match as well was expected from TNA who could have announced it during the next week if anything. Steiner gets the victory (even though all we saw was a low blow).

Final action of the night is a Hogan & Bischoff promo. Slow promo there about how Bischoff has seen Foley do loads, Hogan reads the letter and Mick Foley is fired (poor attempt at Vince McMahon's your fired from Hogan). Lets see how this is going to play out.

Overall Rating - 3 1/2 out of 5.

TNA and No Spoilers!!!

We have all heard the recent news to come from TNA/IMPACT Wrestling and Universal Studios that mobile phones/cell phones have been banned during the tapings and in recent news a fan has been ejected from the tapings after sending results to a website in which the TNA security showed him that he sent. Along with this Orlando police came and took the fan off the Universal Studio's Florida property.

Now with this what the hell is the problem with banning moblie phones. Well for one, what if someone gets injured during the tapings and i'm not talking about the wrestlers because the wrestlers have the staff to help them to the back along with the medical help behind the scenes but what if a fan gets injured? Will TNA staff help them to the back where the matches are probably being planned? Will the emergency services be called by TNA staff? How about the younger fans that go into the tapings on their own and have to report to their parents/guardians that they are fine?

The only way TNA could deal with this problem overall is either moving out of the IMPACT Wrestling Zone which they said they wouldn't do yet because of the money it costs for production, etc and taking the superstars on the road. But then what about going live on Thursdays? It wouldn't hurt them to actually go live if Spike allowed them to. The thing being that going live on Thursdays will give fans a better viewing and no spoilers being sent out.

Along with going live this would help draw better talent into the company surly? Yes they have a lot of talent right now but with that comes the bad press they will be slightly getting right now due to the Jeff Hardy drug case continuing. The mocking of Randy Savage's death from one of Hulk Hogan's friends and Hulk then defending him. TNA can also sound better when they say watch IMPACT Wrestling live on Spike on Thursdays because it would be live.

Wrestling Game Review?

Quite an old game slightly but right now I will be reviewing Total Extreme Wrestling 2005. Why am I going to be reviewing this game? The real reason well I currently play the game and find it easy to navigate for a wrestling game. Now it is slightly a text based game but what is wrong with that it is still to do with wrestling, right?

What you get with TEW 05 to begin with is a booking game, you aren't a superstar and can't instantly make yourself the top champion in just a few weeks, but what you can do is use your favourite superstars and make them champions or even sign them to the company of your choice. This is after you have updated the game which is preloaded with the cornelleverse data.

The cornelleverse is practially random wrestling federations with random bookers, wrestlers and staff but they look like they are based on the real life companies such as the WWE, WCW, etc.

Back to the real life data, there is regular monthly updates which feature new superstars, remove newly deceased wrestlers, etc. But you can also have real life data which is scenario based such as what if Ric Flair bought WCW?, a yearly specific data such as from 1980's.

I really rate this game because you get the tough challenge of having to make money for companies and can make yourself a challenge by creating a "backyard" federation with no named wrestlers and have to make the company bigger during the slumps in the industy.

TEW 05 Rating - 5/5
