Ivelisse Velez is she Tough Enough?

We all saw Ivelisse get injured on Tough Enough and have to end it there but I’m going to be watching her indy wrestling work and explain if she is Tough Enough. Her independent wrestling name is Juliet "The Huntress" and the first match I will be watching is Juliet “The Huntress” against Ninja Bill.

She is the heel in the situation as she attacked Ninja Bill from behind, wouldn’t expect her to be a heel but I’ll see how it plays out. The arm drags she took were slow, even if it is a guy facing a girl. I don’t know in the match if the guy was going for a fisherman suplex or a pinfall because it ended up being a pinfall. The head off a top rope dirty tactic came around but she hit his head off the second rope. Now I don’t know how much training she had prior to this match, but it looks pretty basic at the moment. I think it is basic as she hit a clothesline that was the guy running at her arm. Taking a dropkick is pretty basic but it looked poor, hope the next match I see is an improvement. Oh by the way I’m not bitching, I knew everyone of the Tough Enough cast had training and had been wrestling beforehand except Rima Fakiah. Ninja Bill did a move to her I just can’t explain good enough , it was a belly to belly suplex to begin with but weirdly ended looking like a fisherman suplex as he gets the pinfall for only a 2 count. She pushed the referee out of the way and when Ninja Bill came off the top rope she hit the guy in the crotch area kind of but the referee was still facing forward, DQ much? After that move she got the three count and the victory.

Match rating: 4/10 (But come on she was facing a guy as well)

Next match is Ivelisse against Melanie Cruise. Melanie Cruise is currently a member of the SHIMMER roster (SHIMMER being the top Women’s wrestling company in the USA and the World). Ivelisse is a face during this match which I believe she obviously would work better as. She is so much smaller than her 6’ 0” opponent Melanie Cruise who is from Chicago, Illinois. Like the previous match the heel (Cruise) started off by attacking the face (Ivelisse) from behind. Ivelisse is certainly better as a face as she had the crowd behind her when beating up Melanie Cruise. Unlike the first match it looks like she knows what she is doing in the ring and has command over it and this event was 14 days after the first one I reviewed. The finish at first was a bit botched as it looked like she was going for a hurricanrana, she sends Cruise over the top rope when it turns around and gets disqualified (Weird rule). Overall better than the first match.

Match rating: 7/10

So mixed feelings there, saw her face a man and a woman, won only one of the matches but looked better in the other. As obvious she would become a diva with the WWE if she had won Tough Enough, I can say Ivelisse aka Juliet “The Huntress” was actually tough enough. Hope to see more from her in the future.
